My name is Mie, and I am a PhD Candidate in Gender and Sexuality and Hebrew and Jewish Studies at University College London

BIO
I am a PhD Candidate in Gender & Sexualities Studies and Hebrew & Jewish Studies at UCL. My research focuses on how queer* Jewish women live, negotiate, explore, express, and experience their Jewish and intimate lives in England and Israel.
I have a great interest in intersections between gender, sexuality, and religion, and my research aims to enhance our understanding of lived religion, Jewishness, LGBTQ+ identities.
I am actively involved with EDI projects and queer pedagogy in Higher Education.
I also work as a freelance researcher and consultant.
In my freetime, I play football, build Lego, and spend time with my partner, friends, and family.
* My research focuses on lesbian, bi, pan, asexual, and queer women.
